Online Adult Dating

By Jane Jwaltz People look for love and romance on the internet in an online adult dating site. Others look for sex and only sex it may be straight or alternate sex. The search is about people and not peanuts or rugs, hence it is people search. People come in all shape and size, age and type. Name it and they are there - singles, swinger couples, lesbians, gays; straight, bisexual and heterosexual; interracial, interfaith all. People with weirdest sexual preference are there on the net looking for someone of the same type to satisfy their sexual urge. An online adult dating site with a large number of listings is split into these very categories for an easy and efficient search. There site dedicated to a specific category, say an online adult site for gay personals, a site for lesbians. People are into match making to find their life partners, single parents, divorcees, seniors, widows-these portals are called Match Making sites although they may offer many options. The word dating is prominent in the tile of all the adult dating sites on the web lest they may be taken for porn sites which carry explicit adult content. Unlike porn sites offering amateur and hardcore visuals, online adult dating sites are a friend finder and relation ship building sites The search for a sexual encounters and adult sex personals is the most common on dating sites but they by no means are x rated. Sex is not a forbidden fruit any more. Couples searching other couples, partner swapping couples, couples looking for singles; singles looking for singles or couples, alternate sex seekers lesbian personals and gay personals looking for their type are common searches on the internet. Seniors have also joined the frayThanks to internet they are also rediscovering their sex lives. Online adult dating sites are user friendly which can be visited from the safe confines of once home. They offer privacy, anonymity and discreet options for those who do not wish to reveal their identities. The chance of meeting your type is an exceptional probability which is not possible in public life. Hence the popularity of these portals is an ever increasing phenomenon. Why Its Difficult for Some Spouses to Apologize

By Nancy Wasson Is it difficult for your spouse to apologize and tell you that he (or she) is sorry? Or is it hard for you to offer an apology? Some individuals can say Im sorry easily while others cant ever seem to choke the words out. When a spouse is reluctant to apologize, the partner inevitably ends up carrying emotional baggage from the resulting hurt feelings, resentment, and anger. Its often easier to offer an apology to a total stranger or a casual acquaintance than it is to a spouse. Usually, in those cases, whatever we have donetemporarily blocked the aisle with our shopping cart at the grocery store or bumped into someone in a hallwaywas done unintentionally. Theres normally not any feeling that one person did something to the other in a personal way. Instead, it feels like an accident, a momentarily distraction, or a misjudgment of visual space. But when things happen between two spouses, an oversight or mistake can take on more personal tones and meaning. A spouse may harbor strong feelings that whatever occurred was deliberate and intentional. When intense feelings are triggered and the emotional climate becomes either icy or raging, the offending spouse may retreat, not knowing what else to do. Or he (or she) may be afraid of doing the wrong thing and making the situation worse. Some spouses view apologizing as a sign of weakness that brings about a loss of power and status. A spouse with this perspective may equate apologizing with admitting inadequacy and incompetence, and thus, be reluctant to apologize for mistakes, failures, or misjudgments. To others, its humiliating to have to apologize. They may have been ridiculed and criticized harshly by their parents when they made mistakes growing up, and, as a result, they try to avoid admitting to mistakes and the unpleasant feeling that brings. Accepting responsibility for personal actions and decisions is challenging for some spouses. They operate in denial, as though by not admitting fault they havent done anything wrong. Its almost as though they are afraid of owning any inappropriate behaviors because then they might have to take responsibility for other actions, also. So its just easier to avoid and deny than to admit responsibility and apologize. If a spouse views apologizing as all or nothingthat the person who is wrong has to ask for forgiveness from the one who is right–that can also make the task more daunting. So can viewing the person who apologizes as the loser in an argument or dispute, while the one accepting the apology is the winner. What Can You Do if It’s Hard for Your Spouse to Apologize? The following five tips offer specific actions that you can take: 1. Become comfortable with saying, Im so sorry for my part in what happened between us or Im so sorry for my part in the misunderstanding. That acknowledges that two people are involved in what happens in relationship interactions and makes it less threatening for each to accept personal responsibility. 2. If your partner refuses to make an apology for behavior that deeply hurt you, ask her (or him) if she at least regrets what happened. Some spouses will find it easier to say I really regret what happened at the party than Im really sorry for my behavior at the party. 3. Practice being the kind of partner that you wish you had. Apologize readily and model healthy behavior for your spouse. Be open about your feelings when its hard to apologize. Say, I dont know why its so hard to apologize sometimesbut it is. This isnt easy for me to say because Id rather blame you than look at myself, but I am truly sorry for the things I said last night. You cant control what your spouse decides to do or not to do, so focus on what you do have control overyour own reactions and behavior. 4. Write your spouse a handwritten letter (pen and paperno emails) sharing your feelings and say that in order to move on, you really need some sort of acknowledgement of your feelings and the hurt you have experienced. State that its important for you to know that your partner cares about your feelings enough to apologize or admit regret for what happened. 5. Remember that if your spouse cant apologize to you, it doesnt necessarily mean that your spouse doesnt love you. In some cases, it can indicate a callousness and indifference to the partners feelings. But in other cases, it can indicate a lack of relationship skills or unresolved individual issues. Your best strategy may be to see if your partner will agree to some marriage counseling sessions to improve communication and intimacy. Then, address the issue in the counselors office where your chances of being heard and opening the door for positive change are greatly increased. Nancy J. Wasson, Ph.D., is co-author of Keep Your Marriage: What to Do When Your Spouse Says “I don’t love you anymore!” This is available at http://www.KeepYourMarriage.com , where you can sign up for a free weekly marriage advice newsletter. Healing Scars and the Three M’s

By Ivy Mills Cuts, burns, surgery - there are hundreds of opportunities for scar tissue to settle in. Long thought of as a simple fact of life, scar therapy is beginning to break through the haze bringing new hope to scar sufferers. An easy way to remember the major components of healing scars: the 3 Ms - moisture, movement, massage. Scar tissue continues to form up to two years after the initial injury. During this healing time, moisture, movement and massage are of the utmost importance. Moisture Moisture softens the scar tissue, making it more pliable and preventing the scar from cracking. A scar left unmoisturised will have a higher chance of becoming infected. Choose an oil-based moisturiser (try Valhalla Essences Bath & Body Oil) and apply it to the scarred area as often as you think about it. It is absolutely essential to apply moisturiser before commencing movement or massage of the affected area. Movement Movement of the scarred area will help to decrease the chance of it binding up. If the scar is on a joint, the joint should be moved through its full range of motion. Make a conscious effort to do this at least four times a day. Massage We have a tendency to shy away from touching an injury. Lack of touch can cause desensitisation or the scar. Touch, both with light and heavy pressure, should be administered on a regular basis to keep the nerve endings alert. Massage takes the benefit of touch to another level. Massage helps to break down the bands of collagen that lead to restricted movement and a raised appearance. Massage also increases circulation to the area, lessening the amount of discolouring. Directions for Scar Massage 1. Using a generous amount of oil, begin with light pressure moving in small circles over the scar. 2. Use constant, heavy and deep pressure - enough to make the scar white. 3. Massage in vertical strokes moving up and down the scar. 4. Switch to horizontal strokes moving back and forth across the scar. 5. Return to the small circular motion in step 1. Massage for about 5 minutes at least twice a day. The more you do it, the faster it will heal. This is a long, patience testing process, but at least we dont have to feel stuck with our scars. Ivy Mills has been researching chemical sensitivity and natural alternatives for over five years and has brought her knowledge to the marketplace in her company, Valhalla Essences. Her personal experiences have fed a passion to help others with the same problem. Ivy welcomes others to share their stories and experiences on her blog, Peaceful Power. What Everyone Ought to Know About the Differences Between Online Registration Systems and HTML Regis

By Ryan J. Bell However, when contacting meeting professionals who already employ an HTML-based form to help with registration, they are often under-informed or misinformed on what exactly an online registration system could offer them in addition to the functionality of their established HTML registration form. In brief, here are just a few of the advantages to be gained by switching to an online registration system: Superb Security Because most online registration companies host your registration pages on their servers you can take advantage of the economies of scale and get expensive security measures for a fraction of their price. Hackersafe inspections, 128-bit encryption technology, TRUSTe verified privacy policies and PCI compliancy are all great programs you can take advantage of. Customizable Reporting On top of securing your data, registration systems often offer custom reporting capabilities so that you can slice your data any way you need. With some systems, you can also email reports to sponsors, colleagues, vendors or anyone else you need to keep in the loop, without giving them direct access to your accounts or data. Flexible Forms The best registration systems on the market today allow you to build your forms using a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor, meaning that you can build an entire web page without knowing any HTML code. This gives you the ability to add your logo, customize text styles, change colors and make changes on the fly, with no need to involve an IT department! Automatic Emails Event-reminder and registration confirmation emails are easy to build and send with online systems that do most of the work for you. In addition, top systems will have a mechanism which sends emails to registrants who abandon the process before completing their registration, affording you the opportunity to assist people who are confused, or help to convince them that registering for your event will be beneficial. The biggest difference between online registration and HTML registration forms is that they are self-service. There a few registration companies that will let you try out their system fully before you commit to buying anything. Hair Extensions and Excess Shedding Issue

By Perriann Rodriguez Hair Extensions Shedding Getting hair extensions can be very involved. There are many different methods available, many different types and qualities of hair to use and many different stylists to choose from. Hair Extensions are not something that you should rush into without thoroughly checking things out. Many things can go wrong if they are not properly attached, removed and maintained. One issue that may come up with hair extensions is shedding. Shedding starts at the point of attachment. There are many different ways that the hair extensions can be attached. When the point where they were attached becomes loose, the hair extension will slip and fall out of the hair. Sometimes the natural hair will come out as well. Some shedding is to be expected. Here is a question from a woman that had this issue. Hair Extension Question: I have extensions that were fused into my hair using the strand method. I have had hair extensions before and it seems that I always have problems with excess shedding for some reason. I don’t have a hair thinning problem and my hair is fairly thick. I was wondering if maybe my stylist should use the hair with the glue that is already on the tips along with the regular glue she uses in the gun. Would this make the extensions more secure? I love having hair extensions, but within 3 weeks I am ready for a fill. I don’t think they should shed this much Answer: I’m sorry that you are having problems with your extensions falling out. This can be a very common problem with some hair extension methods. I am not a professional cosmetologist, so I cannot offer you a professional opinion. But I have done extensive research on hair extensions and I can share with you some of the information I have learned.First of all, it is normal to lose some extensions and need filling in. Most hair extensions methods require monthly maintenance visits to address this type of problem. However, if you are losing a lot of the extensions, something else may be wrong. There can be 3 reasons why your extensions are falling out.1. Your hair is not strong enough to hold the hair. (You did not mention whether the extensions are pulling out your natural hair when they fall out.)2. Your hair for whatever reason (perhaps too oily, dry, etc.) is not working well with the glue that your stylist has used.3. The extensions are not being put in properly (Did you thoroughly check out your stylist’s qualifications and training for hair extensions?) Some of the pre-tipped hair extensions available today are with certain distinct hair extension methods that the stylist must be trained and certified to attach. The chemical makeup of the pre-tipped extensions may be different than the glue that your stylist is using. I wouldn’t think that mixing two types of glues would be good for your hair. Is your stylist concerned about too many extensions falling out? A trained hair extension stylist will know when too much shedding is taking place and some action must be taken. If you are not satisfied with your stylist, perhaps you could schedule a hair extension consultation at several other salons in your area so that you can have another professional opinion about your hair extensions. Some salons charge a nominal fee for the consultation. What Happens After A Trauma

By Terry Coyier Imagine, if you will, that you are walking alone at night in an unfamiliar neighborhood. You think you hear footsteps behind you so you walk a little faster. Suddenly someone steps out from behind a bush. You turn around but someone is behind you as well. They are both bigger than you and you are scared to death. Possibly you are mugged or raped. Maybe you escape harm, but you’ve still had a harrowing experience. You could end up suffering from Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) if you have an experience like this or have exposure to any real or a perceived life-threatening trauma where you responded with intense fear. PTSD is a medically recognized anxiety disorder that occurs in normal individuals under extremely stressful situations. Symptoms may appear immediately and then disappear after several months. At other times symptoms may take up to 6 months to emerge and may never completely go away. Half of those who meet the DSM-IV criteria for PTSD will still suffer from symptoms a year after diagnosis and 1/3 will still have weekly symptoms ten years after the trauma. CRITERIA FOR PTSD * Exposure to a traumatic event marked by intense fear, helplessness or horror * Symptoms from each of the three symptom clusters: * Intrusive recollections (evoke panic, fear, dread, nightmares, grief, despair, daytime fantasies, etc.) * Avoidant/numbing symptoms (avoidance of trauma related stimuli, trouble leaving the house, cannot tolerate strong emotions, etc.) * Hyperarousal symptoms (symptoms resemble panic attacks, generalized anxiety, insomnia, irritability, startle response, hypervigilance that may come across as paranoia) You may also use the mnemonic “DREAMS” D = DETACHMENT R = REEXPERIENCING THE EVENT E = EVENT HAD EMOTIONAL EFFECTS A = AVOIDANCE M = MONTH IN DURATION S = SYMPATHETIC, HYPERACTIVITY OR HYPERVIGILANCE STATISTICS Certain populations are more at risk than others. Here are just a few examples: * 2% in post-partum women * 18% in professional fire fighters * 34% in adolescent survivors of car accidents * 48% in female rape victims * 67% in prisoners of war Up to 80% of patients with PTSD will have a comorbid psychological or psychiatric disorder. The most common diseases that occur with PTSD are: * major depression * substance abuse * dysthymia * bipolar disorder * generalized anxiety disorder * panic disorder * phobias * dissociative disorders TREATMENTS Medications Typical first line treatment is with selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI’s) such as Prozac, Paxil, Zoloft or Lescol. Trazadone and nefazadone (Serzone) are being re-studied since the have SSRI properties and they also reduce or suppress REM sleep, thus reducing or eliminating nightmares. Tricyclic antidepressants and MAOI’s have been tried but there is no proven efficacy for these types of medications. Benzodiazepines were once the first line of treatment but the efficacy has not been proven in controlled studies. They can also cause dependency problems for people who must deal with substance abuse issues. These types of medications also come with a variety of discontinuation problems. Psychotherapy Once medications relieve the most distressing symptoms a patient can then concentrate on psychotherapy. A key element to success here is beginning the initial medication treatment within two weeks of the trauma. Then the goal of therapy, breaking the pattern of self-defeat by reexamining the traumatic event and the patient responses to it, can begin. Education about the disease and recognition of cues or situations that trigger symptoms are invaluable. Complete education and healing consists of: * Exposure Exposure to the event via imagery allows you to reexperience the event in a safe, controlled environment where your reactions can be monitored. * Examining Examining feelings such as anger, shame, guilt, etc. allows you to work on resolving these feelings. * New Coping Skills New coping skills teach you how to handle reminders, reactions and feelings without becoming overwhelmed or emotionally numb. This can help foster your relationships with others. Some of the techniques used are: * Relaxation (i.e. breathing techniques, visualization) * Biofeedback * Cognitive restructuring * Managing Anger * Preparing for stress reactions * Addressing urges to use alcohol or drugs * Communications and relating effectively with people Group treatment has also proven to be quite helpful for PTSD sufferers. This type of setting allows you to share with others who are more empathetic to your feelings. Being able to share instills more confidence and helps you to trust again. After being allowed to share your trauma you are freer to engage proactively in current relationships. Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) This is a relatively new treatment that combines elements of exposure therapy, cognitive behavior therapy and then uses techniques (eye movements, hand taps, sounds, etc.), which creates an alteration of attention back and forth across the person’s midline. Fourteen controlled studies have been done on EMDR. The last five done on trauma patients (abuse, rape, accident victims, etc.) have found that 84-90% of the individuals suffered no PTSD after only three sessions. In a study for combat veterans, 77% showed no PTSD symptoms after twelve sessions. Like all therapy the progress rate depends on the individual and the type of trauma. To administer EMDR, therapists must undergo special training. Although PTSD manifests itself in a wide variety of symptoms there is a common factor. If you have lived through any type of experience that has caused you to feel threatened by death (either real or perceived) or threatened serious physical injury to yourself or to others, and you felt intense fear, horror or helplessness, you could be suffering from PTSD and may not even be aware of it. If you have experienced a traumatic event, lived an abused life, or cannot deal with something that you were confronted with, please seek the help of a professional. No one should have to live a life in constant fear or helplessness. Terry J. Coyier is a 37-year-old college student studying for an Associates of Applied Sciences degree. She is also a freelance writer who writes about bipolar disorder and other mental illnesses. Terry was diagnosed with bipolar ten years ago. She lives with her son in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. Online Dating How To Be Safe

By Kelly Price Ready to enter the world of online dating? Is it safe? Maybe yes and maybe no, but that is up to you. You have to protect your privacy and go slowly with whomever you are talking to. Here are all the rules you need to make online dating safe. Getting Started the Basics When meeting new people from the dating site, keep your contact just to the written for a while, a few weeks. Try and ask questions about the persons life, what they do, what they are, and so on. Get to know the persons biography. If they suggest a meeting too soon, you do not have to disagree, but answer you would like to, as soon as your time and schedule permits. Draw out the first contact till you know the person better. Moving from the Site to the Telephone Before actually arranging the first meeting, try and move your contact (if you wish it) to telephone conversation. Here you can get even more impressions about the person and even try and guess their intentions. Keep to the phone for about a week till you agree to a first meeting. Arranging the First Meeting The best place to meet is in a coffee shop, and during the day. Try to find a place you know, and you are a bit known there. Do not arrange a night meeting for a first meeting under any circumstances, that is, if you are concerned for safety. The crowded coffee shop and day hours are the safest. Keep this rule sacred. Try also to limit the first meeting to no more than 45 minutes. You need to reflect about your impression of the meeting, the person, and how you felt with them. Arranging the Second Meeting or the First Date If you still concerned about safety (and you should be), your first date should again be in place with lots of people. A good restaurant, popular bar, or club are good ideas. The smartest idea is to meet there, and not have the person pick you up or you pick the person up. Right after work gives you this excuse. Arrange your first date like that, and you will again have safety on your side/ Ongoing Activity Now that you have established your confidence in the person you have met from the internet, you can move on to normal dating routine; but do only those things for which you feel comfortable and confident. Sex and the Internet Partner If you have decided to get into a sexual relationship with your internet partner, you should also remember that you may not be the only one he or she is seeing. Never have unprotected sex, never. Your safety and your life may depend on it. Multiple Internet Relationships Online dating gives you the opportunity to meet more than one person at a time and further, have relations with them. Statistics show that the more sexual partners you have, the greater the risk in contracting even small sexually transmitted diseases (STD). You cannot be too careful in protecting your health and personal safety in this case. Unprotected sex must not enter into your options. The Top 5 Business Lessons From The College Basketball Tournament

By Guy Richards A note from us My favorite time of the year is finally here! No, not springNCAA tournament time! My close friends know Im wild about college basketball, and especially my beloved Duke Blue Devils. Theyve had a tough year but I still love em. Ive been a fan even before Coach K arrived on the scene. One of the most exciting things about the tournament is that on any given day, anything can happen. No ones team is out until the buzzer sounds. The tournament is exciting on so many levels. Not only is every game full of drama, but there are life and business lessons to be learned too. Bring a TV to the office to watch all the action and you can tell people youre studying the leadership and business lessons. In the meantime, here are 5 lessons youre sure to learn while watching this years tournament. Go Duke! The Top 5 business lessons from the college basketball tournament Business life is full of sports metaphors. But the upcoming tournament provides us with more than just great analogies. There are lessons demonstrated each of the 40 minutes that every game is played. Here are 5 big lessons every business leader can take from the tournament, even if youre not a fan: 5. You cant win without good communication. Business action is fast and furious. The best teams have constant communicate among teammates and leaders. Whether youre letting team members know theres a competitor sneaking up behind you, or that you see an opening to capitalize on, winners talk to each other all the time, are encouraging, and are truthful in their talk. 4. When youre rated high, everybodys gunning for you. In the field of 65 its all about knocking off the big guys. Every team brings its A game on to the court every single day. The lower ranked teams look for and will capitalize on every advantage you give them. So will your competition. You have to play to win every single day youre at work. 3. You gotta execute, baby! Sure, those dunks make for great highlight film. But the team that is brilliant at the basics who will win in the long run. Youve got to convert leads to sales. Youve got to deliver outstanding service. Youve got to keep expenses low. Youve got to keep your cool under pressure. Youve got to keep your eyes and ears open to capitalize on mistakes when the competition makes them. 2. Its a team effort. Every team may have one flashy star player, but the real winners dont count on their star to win the game. Winners know their roles and execute them well. Each team member knows their strengths and uses them effectively. The teammates make the plays that allow the star to shine. If the rest of the team didnt show up, the star cant shine. In business it takes every single person executing their role, putting in extra effort, and allowing the stars and everyone else to do what they do well. Every single person plays a critical role on the court and in the office. 1. Dream big and believe. You can bet those unknown teams from smaller schools like Winthrop and Wright State started the season with dreams of going to the Big Dance. They may not have voiced those dreams outside of their own locker room, but in their very big hearts, the dream was there. When your company opened its doors, the owners didnt sit around thinking of ways to barely get by. They wanted to win. They wanted to be the biggest fish in the pond. When others doubt you can do it, youve got to have faith that you can, stare down the big guys, and play with heart. So watch as many games as you can and absorb the many lessons on leadership, dedication, and passion youll witness. Make a commitment to dream big and make those dreams come true. What Is Persecution

By Mark E. Baker Mt: 13: 21. “yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles. Jesus said persecutions arises because of the Word. When you hear the Word of God, Satan immediately comes to steal the Word from your heart. If he cant do that hell try to get you to take your eyes off of the solution and on to the problem, diverting you away so that you will fail. This was part of the parable of the sower? Satans main job is to get the church to back down off the Word of God so that doubt and unbelief will choke it out. He is not a gentleman, he is a bully and he doesnt mind using bullying tactics to get you to back down, only then can he have victory over you. This is persecution because of the Words sake. Lets take a look at the whole parable. Mt: 13:18. “Therefore hear the parable of the sower: 19. “When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside. 20. “But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; 21. “yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles. 22. “Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful. 23. “But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.” Satan knows his only real weapon is deception, if he can keep you from the truth, he can lead you around by the nose. John 8:32. “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” Knowing the truth is what gives us the power to get born again, knowing the truth and acting upon it, is what causes us to overcome in every situation. When we get to the point that we believe Gods Word in our heart and then act on it by speaking it out of our mouth, we shall be saved. Ro.10:8. But what does it say? “The word is near you, even in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9. that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10. For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation. Paul later says in 2Cor. 2 Corinthians 12:10. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2Cor: 12:10 says for Christs sake. Because of the Word. for Christs sake The great redemptive work of Jesus Christ did not cover trials and tribulations, I know we all wish it had, but in all things we are more than conquerors. We are children of a Holy God and we shall prevail. Not only in the life to come, but right now we are more than conquerors. 2 Timothy 3:12. Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution. If you live in this world and you are living for God, you shall suffer persecution, there is no way around it, just remember from where it comes. When we are attacked by Satan we can know and rejoice, because we have the victory in Christ Jesus. Romans: 8:35-37: Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. God is not out punishing His children because they are seeking and receiving the revelation of His will, NO, Satan is the one out trying to stop the Word of God from being proclaimed. Satan is the destroyer, Satan is the thief, and Satan is the accuser of the brethren. Satan is the killer. God is on our side. He Loves us with an everlasting love, and wants to see us succeed! Not the other way around. We need to get our thinking in line with the Word of God on this. Jesus told us in John 10:10. “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. That is the will of God right there. God is the author of life, He is trying to get us to step over into and walk in that life. So when we start to understand the will of God, that is when you know for a fact that Satan is going to come along and try to get you to doubt it, or put something in your path to get your focus off of it. That is where the persecution comes from. 2 Thessalonians 1:4. so that we ourselves boast of you among the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure, We know that when we make a stand on the Word of God, that Satan is going to try to knock us off of our stand. His only real power is to get us to waver in our faith; if we refuse to waiver we then get the victory. Say, I refuse to waiver, I am victorious, my faith is based on the Word of God, and Gods Word never fails. 1 John 5:4. For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world our faith. Say, I am born of God and I overcome the world, because I have victory by my faith in Jesus Christ. James 1:2-4. My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. Yes, it takes a little bit of patience, but the rewards are great so dont back down, make your stand on Gods Word, and as James said, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 2Tm: 3:11: Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. Not some of them, all of them. Gods will is for you to delivered out of them all. Paul got delivered out of all of them. The Word of God doesnt lie. God gives us the power to overcome when we stand on It and dont back down. Ephesians 6:10-16. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Learn who you are in Christ Jesus, search the scriptures and find the promises for yourself. 2 Peter 1:4. by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. Grab hold of the promises of God and meditate on them, partake of them; they will cause you to overcome, and escape the worlds corruption. Give glory to God, and remember who you are in Christ. You are an over comer, say it, I am an over comer! Revelation 12:11. “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Jesus shed His blood for us, the victory has already been purchased, and at a tremendous price I might add, but we must speak, it is the word of our testimony that will cause the victory to come to pass. So let your testimony be one of victory in Christ Jesus. Glory to God. I wrote this Word based confession of faith when I was a young man. I have it pasted on my kitchen cabinet and read it all the time, I encourage you to start confessing Gods Word over your life, and that of family, and loved ones, confession will bring reality into your life. Make it your confession as well. My Confession I believe Jesus is the Christ the Son of the living God. I am in Christ Jesus. I am a new creation, with the life of God, the nature of God, and the ability of God within me. I am His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus. I am the righteousness of God in Christ. My standing with God is secure. My prayers avail much. Christ Jesus my Lord, is my wisdom. He is my righteousness. He is my sanctification. He is my redemption. I have received abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness. I reign as a king and dominate in this life through Christ Jesus. He bore my infirmity, He took my disease, The chastisement of my peace was laid upon Him, with His stripes I am healed!!! Healing belongs to me because I am in Christ Jesus. The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. I am more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus. I can not be conquered. He is my strength, therefore I can not be defeated. I can do all thing through Christ which strengthens me. All my needs are supplied according to His riches and glory by Christ Jesus, therefore I have no lack. I was crucified with Christ. When He was quickened and made alive, I was quickened and made alive with Him. I was raised up together with Him and made to sit with Him in heavenly places. I am now seated with Him in heavenly places. I am dead to the lust of this world, I am alive only to God. I am a believer and not a doubter, everything Jesus did and is, I am a partaker of. Therefore, as He is, so am I in this world. Glory to God! I was raised Catholic, and was born again at the age of 17. I received God’s call into ministry at the age of 19 and began to prepare for ministry. I graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center in 1979. The Lord has called me to teach. My desire is to help all that are seeking to come into a deeper understanding of what God has done for us through Christ Jesus and I have started a web site for this purpose called The Olive Branch; Please visit us for more free studies and resources to help you on your journey.
